He's 100% right that the 2026 mid-terms are critical to ensuring the future of our country & that we shouldn't be thinking too much about 2028 (except tRump *hopefully* leaving) until after we've won the mid-terms. Whether he'll have > 0 interest in running for President after the mid-terms is TBD.

He knows we can't lose his seat - he got insanely lucky in 2020 and drawing a Trump midterm as his reelection campaign in 2026. He can wait for GA to get a bit bluer and build a strong bench before doing anything else. (I don't think a lot about '28 but admit to being a Pritzker soldier lol)

Without state leadership like this, this country would be well on its way to total destruction. I'm in MD and though we lost over 600,000 jobs in the DMV and hit RECESSION status in March, 2025, our leadership has kept us going and positive. Vote Blue - ANY BLUE.

If he does have the juice to take Texas it would be politically shooting yourself in the dick to have him go for national office. Having Dems entrench into previously Republican strongholds is way more useful, not as a national strat to court Rs to Ds (Clinton/Biden/Harris), but locally it works.
