CBC News reports that the two latest deaths bring the total to seven hiking and climbing-related deaths in Banff and Kananaskis during the summer season.
“Grew up in Calgary and have spent the majority of my summer weekends in those mountains. Went away for university and returned last year. Not sure what happened while I was gone but I personally feel the mountains have fallen victim to extreme Instagram influencing the last few years.”
