  OMG people are praising Josh Allen. As if he is not at worst the 3rd best Quarterback of the post Brady/Manning/Rodgers era. Sometimes it feels like some football fans don't even enjoy the game.   I’m not against making a trade for him but you’re not wrong. Unless Branch and Kerby both came back at full strength (not happening at minimum this season if ever), we still don’t have any other good secondary players. Like Reed or Maddox might be alright if they’re the ‘worst’ guy in a secondary…but they might be the best right now.

  There is literally zero excuse for an outdoor NFL stadium to be using artificial turf in the year 2026. None. Indoor stadiums shouldn't either, Arizona and Las Vegas are proof of grass fields indoors being possible, but I can at least excuse older domes like the Superdome.   The thing is our defense isn't injured as hell. We're missing Branch and Kerby (which the entire organization knew was the case coming into the season). Everyone else is healthy. So imo its a combination of Shep being incompetent and Brad being overconfident in the defensive secondary he is rolling out there as starters.

  Teams will keep killing the Lions on those big passing plays as long as we don't have Kerby or Branch. Went from arguably the best safety duo in the league to some people whose names I haven't bothered learning. Justin Fields could get 280 passing yards against this defense right now.

  The Lions have looked awful through two games. Goff is less mobile than ever, they've got Larry fucking Borom at right tackle, Amon-Ra's only viable routes are crossers and if Gibbs doesn't get 5 a carry they're going nowhere. And they're still the better unit than the defense.

  No we didn't. Our offense was exactly like what Detroit did here. Go down 3 scores where the offense can't stay on the field and then the opposing defense plays softer coverage so you get yards but burn away the clock. Guys got fantasy stats but were horrendous to watch.
