It's very funny to see someone talk up China and in the same paragraph claim that, as a contrast, 'hyperscaling the surveillance state' is a thing AI in the US is doing which will be bad and a loss to society. I mean. Not untrue - except for he implication that China is different in that regard. But very, very funny.
