A lot of 3/4 and one ton should be half ton trucks to do the work you say. A lot of 1/2 ton should have a six or four cylinder. A lot of 1/2 ton are easily met needs with a Maverick of other midsize truck like a Honda. A lot of occasional truck needs are met with a small light trailer behind a four cylinder or electric car.
