It was my last day at my current job, it was an interesting experience, it’s a cool company but it doesn’t really suit me. Especially regarding the work schedule… so I’ll have a few days’ rest.

I take it quite easy this time so sleeping in a hotel, going out for dinner instead of cooking on my own stove etc. The necessary prep is plan route on computer and load that into bike gps system, clean an lube chain, adjust tyre pressure, pack a set of normal clothing, bring some water and food, a notebook for the case I think of something…

If it’s wasps, attack it at night, ideally when cold. Yellowjackets can’t see at night or fly when cold (or something like that). Armed with only a rake, I’ve taken out multiple large nests and never gotten stung. YMMV :)

I don't know. I am now enrolled in the master's degree that my country requires to teach secondary education, but classes start in 25 days and I quit my job 16 days ago. I have added most of the basic stuff that was missing from my new website (e.g. navigation...), I've massaged some blog posts of mine into nearly 5000 words of "my computing…

- Continue with learning for my A2 motorcycle license. I didn't have any time during the week due to lots of things happening at work and personal. Did a practice exam and had the bare minimum to pass, but would like to score a bit higher. - Meeting up with friends to plan our Christmas holiday trip - Going to backup + reinstall my chuwi minibook…

I'm wrapping up my current gamedev project. Currently two bugs to squash, if nothing else pops up. Will pitch a couple of ideas to the publisher for the cover art and send a RC for them to try. Other than that, not much. Time with the kids, probably some walking (weather permitting). Unlikely to go to the pool tomorrow because one of them has a…

Making `Pocket Protection Program`. It's a network usage tracker for macOS written in Swift, because it turned out that nobody had made something like this before; or maybe I couldn't find one. Windows 11 had it built-in and I never felt how useful is it until I realized it's effectively non-existent in macOS.

Hoping to get a chance to pick up my Mornington Crescent interactive debugger again; been meaning to write a post about it, but something's changed with the Transport for London official SVG of the Tube map, and now it doesn't initialise properly. No surprise really, it's been twelve years.

Buying a microwave. Vibe coding a Kata-containers fork which removes most of its functionality leaving only whats needed for basic Kubernetes-Firecracker workloads. I have 1 weeks worth of 20x credits to try to use up before 5am PT.

I’ve setup a household wiki. It’s been an idea that we’ve been wanting to implement for a while with my partner, now it's running so we just have to put stuff in it I guess ahah.

Amazing! Enjoy! That sounds like a fantastic physical and mental reset.
