Louise Sandher-Jones, responding to a written parliamentary question from Labour MP Mike Tapp about UK capability to respond to a closure of the Suwalki corridor, stated that Britain has committed high-readiness forces to NATO's collective defence plans and can deploy them if necessary.
“The UK remains staunchly committed to NATO's collective defence obligation, offering almost all of our Armed Forces to NATO including high-readiness forces, which can be deployed as part of NATO's collective defence plans if necessary.”
