A sad note to report from @npr.org... Editor and reporter for NPR's Arts and Culture coverage, Rose Friedman, has died after a battle with cancer. She was 38. RIP.

Tacking on to say - I had my first one this year and was so nervous from so many horror stories of the pain (thanks, as always, Mom). It wasn’t painful AT ALL. The most annoying part was that no one told me not to wear deodorant so I had to use wipes to take it off then buy some on the way to work. It really couldn’t have been an easier exam…

I honestly wouldn't have picked up half the books on my TBR without her Books We Love lists. She had this incredible eye for what actually mattered in culture that year, not just bestsellers. Gonna miss that curation.
