Heart is one of my favorites of all time. I've seen them live multiple times and they are still as amazing as ever. No one can sing like Ann Wilson. She is on my Mount Rushmore of Singers.

The ‘70’s were the pinnacle of rock’n’roll. I dusted off Boston’s debut album last week, and whew… solid gold. I do believe when you look up “banger” in the dictionary you get an audio link to “Let Me Take You Home Tonight.”

As a girl guitarist at the age of what, 10? I wanted to be either one of them. Why go see the Beatles when you could BE the Beatles. I still have this album. What a force of nature they were/are. I still play, but I'll never have Anne's pipes.

I played and played and played and played that record as a girl. Ann and Nancy, and Suzi Quatro showed little me that girls COULD be more than just a backup singer or keyboard player!

I went to a jazz workshop in high school at Claremont SS with Pacific Salt - Paul Horne (flute/sax), Niel Swainson (bass), Kat Hendrikse (drums). Kat was a studio musician at Mushroom Studios and played on five of the ten tracks on Dreamboat Annie

My fav growing up. Saw them every time they came to my town. Powerful women! Back in the day when we would camp out overnight at the concert venue to buy our tickets the next morning…no online sales or “queues”…tickets in hand. Yep I’m old.

They were on the bill at the Nelson Ledges festival on Labor Day of that year and we had no idea who they were. (Notice that they were billed between Roy Buchanan & Elvin Bishop 😀.) It was a pleasant surprise to say the least.
