Polygon reports that the new manga has the potential to fix one of Fortune's Weave's biggest complaints—the lack of support bonds and insufficient screen time for the four cut sub-lords (Talimun, Anatolia, Orchel, Bertrand) and their retainers. Intelligent Systems had originally designed eight protagonists before cutting the game down.
“It would be a missed opportunity not to explore the sub-lords and their relationships with their retainers in more depth than Fortune's Weave has.”
