People forget that some of the most famous New Yorkers are born outside of the state. Babe Ruth is from Baltimore, Andy Warhol is from Pittsburgh, and Spike Lee is from Atlanta.

This is extremely matter but what does she mean "transplants are called transplants for a reason"? Transplants outside of her definition are generally things that do integrate, not things that don't.

It is implicitly anti immigration bc that’s the logical conclusion of it. Any argument made against transplants “colonizing” black and brown neighborhoods can be made about immigrants, wealthy or otherwise.
