I was working full time while I finished my bachelor's degree. I can't count how many night my 'dinner' consisted of peanut M&Ms and a 7-UP. I was a total lab rat.

I have loved Sloppy Joes since I was a child. Back in grade school in the 1950's lunches were actually cooked in the school kitchen. My parents let us buy lunch one day a week, the rest of the week was sandwiches in a paper bag. My siblings wanted pizza, but I lived for Sloppy Joe day.

Always cracks me up when people from Chicago get all snotty how ketchup is for children, when talking about eating goddam hotdogs 😂 Also their pizza is more like a tomato sauce casserole but they don’t seem to see the irony.

My mom's sloppy joes were some of the best I've ever had. They wouldn't stay on the bun like that, tho. When I said 'sloppy' 3 meant SSLLOOPPPYY! Yum!

I’m in my 60s. Every birthday I get sloppy Joe’s tater tots and butter corn I’ve been doing that since I was a teenager.

When I was a 12 yr old I ate Mutton and boiled grey cabbage. Just slightly more nutritious than that 12 yr old’s plate.
