He didn't do the stutter "Just for fun." He did it because he was making fun of his younger brother who actually had a stutter. It originally wasn't even intended to be released to the public.

I was a junior in HS listening to Zeppelin, the Who, Allmans, etc. Except in the car, where AM radio was all there was. BTO coming on was an okay relief. Better still was Bad Co. and Can't Get Enough of Your Love.

Randy Bachman is a great storyteller. I recall on Randy's Vinyls, where he tells the story of going to see Buddy Holly when he was a teen, and the plane crash that happened that day.

The Guess Who was one of my earliest "favorite" bands. Saw them way back in the 1900s. Then a year ago in July of '25, I saw Bachman-Turner Overdrive; that'd be Randy, his son Tal on guitar and lead vocals, and Tal's wife KoKo on drums. Still absolute top notch musicians and entertainers.

BTO’s “Takin’ Care of Business” was the first eight track tape I bought for my portable player in my first car. Sweet memories of cruising down the road with the radio on. Ahhh, nostalgia.

There used to be a radio show called Vinyl Tap where Randy Bachman would tell all sorts of stories of music and musicians. It was great!
