That is one of those reddit lefty takes. You don't know why someone is using the drive through. Are they sick? Is it an accessibility issue? Do they have young children with them that would be an undue time and effort ratio to disembark and reload them? Is there a pet they can't leave in the car?

Visited Vietnam earlier this year. One of the few things that the French left behind in Indochina is a coffee obsession; our guide explained that in Vietnam people might drink beer, or drink fruit juice, but they enjoy coffee.

SO MUCH better having a caffe here in Italy, sidewalk cafes are the ONLY way to have on. Never will I miss SBs.

I would put a total ban on takeaway coffee as a blight on humanity! How can anyone enjoy a coffee from a paper container and drunk though a slot in a plastic lid? I suspect it's all about the show "Aren't I cool carrying my coffee along the street - like all the other wankers?"

Is it the same in the USA as in the UK - Starbucks coffee tastes awful? I always try to go to independents but of the chains here Caffè Nero is the superior.

My only response is to say I don’t “do” coffee. It’s an amazing contradiction, to me: smells good, but tastes awful. (Yes, I’ve tried it multiple ways - 12, to be transparent).

There are drive-throughs in Spain; McDs, Burger King and now Popeyes. Disgusting to say the least.
