As a born and raised Yankees fan (cuz my dad’s Giants had moved to SF before I was born), Reggie was a god. He at the plate, Guidry on the mound…near unstoppable. I never thought they’d lose. I was wrong of course, but I was 5 & 6 in ‘77 & ‘78, so what did I know? One thing, Reggie was our guy.
