It's pretty much a consensus amongst economists that NAFTA/CUSMA was a huge boon to the Canadian economy. Tying our dingy to the biggest economy ever was a wise move and benefited Canadians and Canadian businesses tremendously.

It wasn't a question of getting greedy, it's just a new philosophy. I don't agree with Trump's tariffs but globalism left a lot of people behind. We are seeing push backs against it all over the world, not just the US.
