Four charged: Stephen Consala faces 23 firearms trafficking counts

Peel police charged Stephen Prakash Consala, 24, of Scarborough, with 23 counts of firearms trafficking plus nine counts of drug trafficking and ammunition trafficking. Akshaya Srikanthan, 24, of Ajax, was charged with 11 counts of firearms trafficking and seven counts of drug trafficking. Sammy Shaik, 28, of Mississauga, and Janoj Dhayabaran, 23, of Toronto, were also charged. Consala and Dhayabaran were held for bail hearings; Srikanthan and Shaik were released pending later court appearances.
