According to police disclosures, Salve worked as an accountant at the textile firm from April 2026 at Rs 30,000 monthly salary. He claimed the senior accountant and owner constantly nagged and scolded him. After leaving a month prior, the owner refused to pay Rs 10,000 in pending salary, prompting Salve to plan revenge. He bought petrol for Rs 150 a day before the fire, entered after shops closed, and sprinkled it on parcels before lighting them. He was in the market for just four minutes. After fleeing on his bike to Rajasthan and Ayodhya, he returned Sunday night and was apprehended.
