At the UN General Assembly in New York, Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader urged the international community to strengthen the international force authorized to confront armed gangs in Haiti. He highlighted that the force has only one-fifth of its authorized personnel deployed and called on the Security Council to renew its mandate before it expires September 30.
