The Department of Homeland Security released a statement Thursday saying ICE officers were looking for a different Guatemalan person with unauthorized immigration status and multiple alcohol-related driving offenses. When attempting to stop Coronado to confirm his identity, he fled at high speed, but ICE "immediately discontinued the enforcement action" in the interest of public safety. Officers later discovered the crashed vehicle nearly half a mile away.
