The framework envisions new digital tools to help public authorities, businesses and communities assess climate risks, including an interactive European Climate Viewer showing projected climate hazards. The Commission said it would begin implementing the framework immediately and is developing a European Heatwave Plan, a Climate Insurance Alliance, and a European Water initiative, with a strategic plan on climate resilience planned for 2028.
“Europe is warming at double the global rate. Climate resilience should be integrated into policies across the continent to support investment, innovation and long-term growth.”
