The Israeli army claimed its attack was targeting a terrorist in southern Gaza. Meanwhile, the UN's Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights warned that Israeli forces continue to displace Palestinians into shrinking areas and are destroying civilian infrastructure, raising concerns of ethnic cleansing. Israel is reportedly working to expand its control over Gaza to 70 percent following a May order from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
