The Swift space telescope is predicted to re-enter the atmosphere on November 4, UTC 09:57 ± 6h. It's been in orbit for 22 years. But it's already dead, as NASA stopped operations on October 23rd. 🧪 🔭 #SpaceJunk

Astronomer here! Worth also noting that Swift was THE most cited space telescope mission ever, far surpassing Hubble. In addition to GRBs it turns out it's just really useful to have a telescope in space you can point super quickly whenever something interesting is going on. RIP, she will be missed- we are definitely feeling the loss already :(
