i find that burritos are cheaper in mexican communities, particularly ones with large immigrant populations. if you lower tariffs on the inputs — such as rice, tomatoes, and avocado — and allow mexican immigrants to own and run their own businesses here, seems like you can get pretty cheap burritos

It's also worse for them. Otherwise, the richer they got, the more they would relax, but instead they raise their drawbridges even more and become ever more paranoid. I don't imagine a tumor to be happy upon its exhaustion for having grown so big it kills its host, but maybe it enjoyed along the way.

like if a burrito was $2 and household income $8,000 but inflation was 5%, the public would be happier than they are now at $20, household income $80,000, and 3% inflation. "things used to be cheaper!" is part of it, but physical cash coming in set denominations i think is actually the main driver

There's an entire industry of right wing content creators that are basically just non-sexual pornographers, right down to the CAPITALIZED titles. Like there are entire YouTube channels that are mostly protesters, trans people, women, or black people getting arrested, tamed, pepper sprayed, etc.

It's pretty simple really: They spew a non-stop stream of racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia and fear of communism and socialism through their billionaire-owned propoganda outlets to keep their loyal subjects looking anywhere but them.

That's literally in the name of their ideology. CONSERVEatism as in CONSERVE for MYSELF. Ask anyone who calls themselves conservative and they will align within spitting distance of that idea if not right on top of it.

Crenshaw literally acknowledging that he wants grown adults to live like desperate college students. Feel like we should be talking about this more.

If a single burrito costs $20, you live in LA or NYC. That's not Trump's economy. It's been like that for two decades.
-
A $20 burrito under a Republican is just fine. A $20 burrito under a Democrat is a failed socialist government.

Don’t these idiots know you only complain about cost of living issues when a Democrat is in charge
