  TrendForce says Apple is paying nearly 400% more for the memory in the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro than it did a year ago. Apple is expected to absorb most of the increase, with prices rising by about $100 over the iPhone 17 Pro. Component savings elsewhere are not expected to offset the memory hit either... 🕘

  The iPhone 18 Pro/ iPhone 18 Pro Max will likely come in at only $100 higher than the phones they are replacing, so Apple is clearly eating a lot of the memory shortage cost increases here. Google and Samsung also both raised prices by $100.
