Medical observers critique incomplete presentation

A commenter identifying as having medical knowledge noted that Oz omitted critical context—that measles causes pregnancy complications and young infants depend on herd immunity before vaccination, facts relevant to the autonomy scenario he presented.
“He doesn't mention that measles can cause pregnancy complications including stillbirth or that young babies rely on herd immunity before they can be vaccinated.”

It’s funny how the FCC won’t let shows air interviews with democratic candidates, but they’ll allow a “news” program air completely false and dangerous medical propaganda.
-
Hold up hold up hold up. The Mother’s Autonomy? Oz is promoting the Mothet’s Autonomy in whether to vaccinate her child? Well pro-Mother’s Autonomy is fucking news to me from these guys bc that is not a fucking consideration when that SAME MOTHER IS PREGNANT. See: Abortion rights.

We have some of each. In this interaction, the reporter seems genuinely that stupid, but Oz knows better. He doesn’t mention that measles can cause pregnancy complications including stillbirth or that young babies rely on herd immunity before they can be vaccinated, facts relevant to the scenario.

I will never understand the anti-vaxxers. To me, vaccines are a miracle. No child should suffer or die from polio or measles because of stupid adults.

Why does it matter? We have a vaccine that will prevent these questions. Use your critical thinking skills JFC med school...what? Like it's hard?

They are dumb. If covid deaths were overstated, why the spike in deaths on this chart? If covid wasn't to blame, what killed more Americans in those few, specific years.

That's not skepticism. That's just outright lying for the sake of lying. They know what they said is not true. But they say it anyways because they are terrible, awful human beings that don't care if their lies kill people.

Science denial and fascism are both product of the same inability to receive passed-down knowledge. "My kid can't get Polio because I haven't seen it" "We need a strong man to run things" It's failing the marshmallow test at a societal level.

I really try not to rely on vulgarity to make my points, but why don’t they just go and fuck themselves. And RFK Jr. And Trump. And his entire cabinet, and all the racists, bigots of every kind, and general haters.

"I want the decion to decide if my child has the potential to go through a terrible illness. I've done my Google research, I don't need doctors and experts trying to keep my kid safe."
