If only animal studies didn't create hope, for them only to be dashed because humans aren't mice, rats, monkeys etc. just as human studies focus on males and disregard females, resulting in less effective or misapplied treatments for females. Vegan healthcare professionals face dilemmas, often.

I lost my mom, my wife, two aunts and a grandfather to dementia. I know it all too well. Any advance in treating this horrible disease is welcome, but know that a cure is unlikely, and would suggest the answer may lie in prevention.

I expect you are only alive because of these types of experiments. All vaccines from the past were tested on animals, as were the over the couter medecines that you can buy. Which would you choose, your life or that of a mouse?

I really hate that the article treated a class of materials as a monolith. Only later does it define that we are only talking about a specific material in nanoparticles form. Will other lipid nanoparticles do the same? Is this why some vaccines have shown efficacy in Alzheimers? Because they use LNP

My ex-MIL has alzheimer's, and she is nasty, suspicious, paranoid, and treats her daughters like shit. But she did that her entire life, so other than being old, I can't tell the difference. She accuses people of stealing from her, and when a search finds it, she accuses them of replacing it.

I have a solution. Let's experiment on your family members. They're much better test subjects than mice. Or let's use mentally challenged people and infants bc their brains aren't as developed. Are you understanding your speciesism ? Your automatic regard for animals as "less than"? PREJUDICE.

Too big a cash cow for the medical community, just like cancer. Nothing will be done for humans in any of our lifetimes. The AMA has to keep fucking us with torture treatments and hope that does not exist. They certainly made me handicapped w/their "treatments." I'll stick to alternatives.

How confident would you be that experimental testing on mice will translate effectively into humans and how long before we see this eventuality ? Encouraging news though. Hope springs eternal, sir ?
