CDC's National Center for Health Statistics reports that more than 9 in 10 adults ate a vegetable and about 7 in 10 ate fruit on a given day between August 2021-2023, but consumption rose markedly with family income — 56% of the poorest adults ate fruit on a given day versus 76% of those earning 350% of the federal poverty level.
