Dandellion reported that Android transparently mutates files and removes metadata during upload with no opt-out. Mdaniel countered that recent Android versions (Pixel 10 Pro, Android 17) don't exhibit this, and suggested metadata removal may be server-side for privacy/security reasons rather than OS-imposed.
