Wave of replies call the "hustle" comment ableist and condescending

Starting roughly two hours after jessieblueaz's reply, dozens of commenters pushed back, arguing that basic tasks can be major accomplishments for people with chronic illness, depression, or disability, and calling the original reply insensitive.
“If you've never been at a point where getting out of bed or brushing your teeth was a struggle then you're in no place to judge what someone counts as success.”

What a terrible thing to say to someone. People have chronic illnesses, depression, and are dealing with things that you know NOTHING about and maybe getting out of bed and cooking is their biggest accomplishment that day. Let them celebrate it. Your response is extremely insensitive & inflammatory.

Good for you. That’s irrelevant to my life.

Clapping now. My British room mate is a good cook. We don't have to rely on all that new technology to run up your credit card bills. Hungry? We have CHAP for that! (Gus is here all week.)

Have had a bunch of surgeries over the last few years and was physically unable to cook for a long time, so I had to rely on being able to order my lunches. Got into the habit and it has been hard to break out of.

Clap clap. That’s my goal this week. Use up all the stuff waiting in my freezer and cupboards. Homemade chicken and rice soup for supper.
