CMA proposes choice screens for search and AI assistants

The CMA put forward proposals requiring Google to show Android and Chrome users a choice of search providers when they first set up a device or browser, prompt them once a year to select a default, and include AI assistants meeting technical and security criteria. The rules would also require search providers to fairly attribute publisher content.
