CMA publishes strengthened Google choice screen proposals

The Competition and Markets Authority updated its proposals to require Google give Android and Chrome users choice of search services at first use and annually. The changes now include AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity if they meet technical and security requirements, and require fair attribution of publisher content on choice screens.
