Researchers show how the new archiving technique works by studying human cells in culture responding to immune system signaling molecules. The approach solves a key limitation of conventional RNA measurement: the inability to detect short-lived gene responses that have already occurred by the time measurement takes place.
“If you measure too late with the conventional method, you no longer see that the response has even taken place.”
