As of Tuesday afternoon, investigators were canvassing the area for surveillance footage and had recovered evidence from the scene. Police Captain Joseph Busa noted the heist follows two other high-profile trailer robberies with similar methods: a $40,000 frozen ground beef theft in Northeast Philadelphia in October and a Black Angus beef ribs robbery in South Philadelphia in September. Busa said it's too early to determine if the thefts are connected.
