Police investigate theft; no arrests made, pattern of similar heists noted

As of Tuesday afternoon, investigators were canvassing the area for surveillance footage and had recovered evidence from the scene. Police Captain Joseph Busa noted the heist follows two other high-profile trailer robberies with similar methods: a $40,000 frozen ground beef theft in Northeast Philadelphia in October and a Black Angus beef ribs robbery in South Philadelphia in September. Busa said it's too early to determine if the thefts are connected.

“The recent heists are 'all concerning, but right now it's really too early to tell if it's connected to anything.'”
