Bluesky is blocking links to DDoSecrets, which is hosting the leaked dataset of 40,000+ Homeland Security employees. A searchable version of the site hosted by maia arson crimew also appears down after a DHS takedown demand on the domain registrar. More: https:// techcrunch.com/2026/10/29/blue…

Once sat in a coffee shop in downtown Chicago where two ICE attorneys were chatting about why they joined ICE. The gist of it was that they were both very, very aware of the appearances of their work. But they both agreed that it was worth it for their careers to work there for long enough to build a reputation and then move on.They know that…

Our report is still the most detailed available on the massive Homeland Security leak exposing thousands of ICE, CBP, and other federal agents and employees. I don’t disagree there are people doing good things, but they’re doing them for bad people. Doing good things for an evil dictator doesn’t remove that they were done for an evil dictator. Also, practically and sadly, they’re precisely the people you’d lean on when you want change because they’re more likely to funnel that pressure upwards in the…

TL;DR: Bluesky faces backlash for blocking a website that exposes sensitive data of DHS employees, including numerous ICE agents, as the government pushes for takedown requests. https:// techcrunch.com/2026/10/29/blue sky-blocks-links-to-leaked-dhs-employee-data-as-government-seeks-takedowns/ # law # tech # legaltech ⚖️ 🤖 # autosum

Thoughts and prayers. This is the cost of freedom. Now is not the time to talk about prosecuting hackers.

ICE and DHS should be abolished, INS should be restored and immigration policy should be reformed to be far more humane. All of these employees should be barred from any and all future public service (and prosecuted where appropriate). There's no room for sympathy for an agency who routinely violates human rights, fires off tear gas by schools…

Unrelated to the content of the article, but what a wonderful site text.npr.org is. It looks like a slightly enhanced version of my iPhone's reader mode and it displays instantly, scrolling with no lag, stuttering, or dynamic loading of page elements.I wish more of the web were like this.

That's why such dumps should be just the beginning. It should be accompanied by metadata, saying who is whoFor example, each agent that killed people are presumably in this dump. Providing pointers to it is at least as valuable as the dump itself

What is really troublesome on the Bluesky blocvking the ICEPIX link from DDOSSecrets is that X (formerly Twitter) is no according to the story. I know many of us migrated to bluesky because of different reasons, censorship being one, and yet in this case the opposite is true. https://www. wired.com/story/bluesky-blocks…

Taxpayers have a right to scrutinize how their tax dollars are getting spent. When the government acts like it doesn’t derive its power from the citizens, people will revolt. It’s what DOGE was all about, the resistance.

I get where you're coming from, but I find it pretty difficult to sympathize with privacy issues faced by the innocent employees of an agency that routinely violates my privacy rights to get the same info.
