Impressive growth, and even more, ahem, impressive capital spending :-OAccording to page 6, year to date in 2026, operations generated $127B in cash, and capital spending on property and equipment was $132B, so year to date, the business consumed $5B.According to page 8, in the last quarter, operations generated $42B and capital spending was $51B…

Define built out. If I have a warehouse of H100s is that built out? Better than a warehouse of Blackwell? How about a warehouse of Vera Rubin? How about a warehouse of the next tech chips? What about when optical computing or quantum come to fruition, if they do? Does todays "build out" matter tomorrow? The answer is no. There will, for the…

1. Cloud killed it.2. Youtube meh, like always (weird that it doesn't kill it)3. Search -- this was the issue. QonQ 0.1% <-- the whole storyEveryone has expected Search to, sooner or later, crack. This looks like it may be it.If Google had 30B in revenue from coding tools and a few billion from Gemini Enterprise then there would be a story that…

As expected, the usual generic "just do inverse reddit" commentary in this thread from most people. Every street quant, institutional portfolio manager and trading desk saw the exact same core metrics the millisecond the earnings report dropped. You do not have an edge or are "smarter than the algorithms" by reading past the headline EPS miss and…

Ad sales fall because the AI mania has made it clear that Big Tech does not care about humans, so humans go elsewhere.Advertisers on the other hand are alerted to viewbotting with increasingly sophisticated AI "users".It was clear already two years ago that the model of AI generated "content" that is watched by AI viewbots does not work. Of course…

IMO Claude and OpenAI are quite far ahead of google’s LLM. You gotta ask yourself, all this money being spent by Google, what value will it add? Is the expectation that it overtakes Claude/openai? I don’t think that’s realistic anymore. Also, even if google came up with an excellent LLM, who’s gonna buy it? Corporate market is cornered by msft…

One fun line from the results: Google assets are up in one year from $595,281M to $1,003,312M, in other words one trillion dollars. Not market cap, mind you, but assets that could in theory be sold today to raise a trillion dollars in cash.Liabilities also increased from $180,016M to 325,763M, but in comparison that seems almost puny.

Literally every tech company selling compute has massively grown revenue. It doesn't take good leadership to grow revenue as a cloud provider right now. Revenue is not relevant when on a cash flow basis, they are unprofitable now. relying on accounting gimmicks to report paper profits. Their revenue is inflated by circular deals; they invest cash…

It's wild how quickly the tide turned from big tech companies having hundreds of billions in cash reserves and not knowing what to do with it to now taking on hundreds of billions in debt for questionable infrastructure buildouts.

It's entirely my fault. I've used so much of their AI that it's costing them more than my subscription. I'm on their highest tier, paying around $200/month but probably costing them $2000 a month generating using their AI. It'll come back to bite me when I'm too dependent on them. Google is a long term hold. They will be the leader in AI within 5…

I mean, it will pay off for society one way or the other — we’ll have the datacenters and (hopefully) the weights at the end of this. That’s an amazing amount of revenue and spend, though. Wild.

I'm giggling so hard. I got downvoted into oblivion when I would respond to people saying Google is the best buy at the start of 2026, I said there is no reason why Google should trade at a 30% premium compared to Microsoft. Microsoft is up 45% since then and Google is down 5%. Edit: Please stop downvoting me guys, I can't get more erect than this

Google makes a shitton of money with the same ol' click ads--same as in 2004. But with a bunch of other stuff added, like AI spending.

10% have say 80% of the wealth. So if they can have 80% of current revenue but with say 10% of the cost, then there’s more profit, which then is used to buy more. Think of how many yachts will get sold if stocks go to the moon bc they got rid of all their main expenses around emoloyees

Their models are quite bad. I asked it to draft an email, which it did but when I asked to save it in my drafts folder, it just sent the email. When I asked why it did that, it said it doesn’t have the ability to save emails as draft… in Gmail…

MSFT had a great 2025 and a terrible first half in 2026 I made a decent profit selling just shy of $500 in 2025 after buying below $400 after tariff day I then bought the ‘dip’ in early 2026, I was 20% in the hole 4 months ago but now up 15%

Oh dang, they have 2 less billion here , and only made 30 billion there, and 60 billion over there , but then spending an extra 8 billion over here. I’m an idiot , but don’t they still make and have lots of billions overall. Long

I guarantee you that they are profiting off of your subscription. Google has the stingiest usage limits of any subscription AI provider. You get like 10% of the value you would get with Claude Max or ChatGPT pro.

Google advertising is $2B below estimates while Meta advertising grows. 30% EPS MISS while people were expecting AI to bring enormous profits. What if $220B annual spending for Jensen Scam is not profitable?

They keep mentioning return on Investment but can't specify what the return will actually be either. I dont doubt it though but it's odd they don't know or can't even give a range on what returns to expect
