Less than two days after the post-election rally, the Nasdaq dropped 4% into correction territory and the Dow fell about 800 points as traders dumped AI and data-center-linked stocks, with coverage attributing the reversal to midterm-result fears over AI regulation.
“Together with Apple Inc., which has avoided heavy AI spending and leaped more than 6%, the five tech behemoths are on pace to add nearly $1 trillion in market value on Wednesday.”

Over the long run, it doesn’t even matter if some datacenters get paused. If AI demand outstrips supply, people will find ways to build more. They’ll get more creative. They will find new datacenter friendly states that want the business and investment. They will build it in Canada if they have to. Nothing stops demand over time.

Having one party in government and another in congress means one thing: stability by inaction. They cancel each out so they won't really do anything. Dems will push legislation against Trump and he will veto it. So it's 2 years of nothing going forward.
