Russian services has better way to find out Zelensky's location. And there are multiple ways to have a phone call that is not traceable. Just route it through a VOIP line over a local network, and add a noise filter, to make sure that no background noise can be heard through. We are not living in shoddily written crime movies where any phone call…

Trump will save his Owner, mob money supplier, and Master Putin however he can. Both will try to assassinate Zelensky. The contracts have already gone out. That's why he stopped intelligence exchange with Ukraine, and had Elmo turn off starshield.

Couldn't he take the call from, say, the UK? After all, the UK is a Ukraine suppoerter, literally a continent apart and also - as far as the war is concerned - neutral ground. Also doubt Russia would actually strike on UK soil.

Putin only wants a call to redeem himself and I guess spin Ukraine being unreasonable. Worse case they try to take out Zelensky. Solution to that host the call in Europe. Hope Putin not desperate doesn't do something stupid.

Holy crap. You, and the posters here that upvoted this post, are delusional if you think that the Russians would require a phone call geo-locate Zelensky for an assassination.

We already know Putin just repeats his demands and gives an alternate history lecture. Nothing new, nothing to gain from publishing a recording.

Why are so many people asking if this will lead to Zelsnsky getting assassinated? Thats not going to suddenly collapse ukrainian resistance

could they use the call to trace Zelensky's location and strike him? or at least locate where he is?
-
I don't blame him. What's to say Russia doesn't trace the call and try to take him out?
-
This would be a breach of diplomatic etiquette beyond the pale It would backfire
