I believe it’s businesses that have a certain revenue per month that must use API that is representative of actual costs. The rest of the world has what is essentially subsidized services likely with the hope we become reliant and/or addicted and will continue to pay for it once prices increase. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you are paying for the LLM with your money you'll be on the individual plan. Companies don't want their code to be harvested, so they purchase the team plan for their staff.
