There will not only be harm caused by roads and traffic, then drilling and mining - but the further environmental erosion this invites as people want amenities, parking, camp grounds, lodging, food and fuel - then hotels and shopping centers.

I loved floating on a raft, getting golden tan, on a hot July week vacation. We always stayed at Jellystone Campground. Mears & Pentwater were cute little towns. There's a ferry that goes over to Sheboygan. Fun times while they lasted. (1980-1996) (p.s. I want that JEEP back!)

The BWCA in MN is NOT protected now. For 70 years sulfates and heavy metals from taconite mining have been pouring into BWCA via Kawishiwi River. Same for Voyageurs Nat'l Park via Vermilion River. Over 10,000 tons of sulfates EACH, annually, for 70 years. NO Cu/Ni MINING IN MN UNTIL THIS IS FIXED!!!

Hey, LM, keep an eye on data center developments. This boom cycle is creating dirty business and it’s going to belly up, leaving towns to pay for the mess. Microsoft’s WI units already consume billions of gallons of water, most of which is lost to evaporation at the local power generation plants.
