He’s beautiful. He had probably never been in a pet store before and was leery of being taken somewhere else and abandoned. Now, he’s loved, he’s safe, he’s probably a little bit pampered and he is secure in his fur and his new family.

Wow. We've made tons of progress with our foster, but she still won't walk on a leash. Loves a car ride though.

My dog Buddy peed EVERYWHERE the first time I took him to Petsmart after adoption. Every end rack got a lil pee. 🤭 He peed before goin in too!

He is GORGEOUS. My pup (Husky/GSD/some kind of sighthound) was taken to adoption events @ pet stores (I met her there at one) and I think it freaked her out. I'm still working on this and she's no longer super-alarmed--still doesn't like the really big places, though.

This was our first trip to Pet Smart about 15 minutes after I adopted Chase. He is almost 9 years old now.

He knows he’s safe. Nothing to fear, he now knows he is loved. Animals are the absolute best as are the people who rescue dogs, cats, etc., 💓🐾🐾🐈⬛🐈🐈

Oh, man. My little rescue girl did the same thing today. She even tried to climb into the bully stick buckets! This from the girl who was terrified of the automatic doors last year. 😂

That's when I realized the dog had been dumped in the woods. I never even left eyesight, she just assumed. Anyway when I yelled 'hey get your butt over here' her face lit up and she bounded right over. She had 8 good years after that.

I had a rescue, a pit 'bait dog', scars and all, and we went camping after a few months. I had a rescue Rottie too. I decided to switch camp spots and drive 100 yds down the lake to some trees. I drove along, about 5mph, the rottie loped alongside, but the pit just hung its head and started crying.

nice. Our pup goes beserk when we try to give him a bath at home, its insane. So, we take him to our local pet shop with a wash station, he doesn't make one sound.( bark bark) Something about can't let the other animals see him freak out I suppose.

Gotta go slowly w rescue digs. New experiences are often scary.

The first time I took him to the pet store, right after adopting him, he was so scared he didn’t last ten seconds. Now, he struts in like he owns the place. 😂
