You can tell the age of young bald eagles by the color of their head feathers. Fledgling bald eagles are almost completely black/dark brown. As they get older their feathers start to turn white. By the age of 5 their heads become completely white. This eagle looks like its about 4 years old.

A thousand blessings to you & yours. 🙏 You make humanity proud.

If he can't fly again, Dollywood has a branch of the American Eagle Foundation. Although there's probably one closer.

Makes me cry. So extremely grateful that others are caring for nature too while so many are destroying it! 💚💚💚💚💚

I take this as a sign; we might be stuck, we might be injured, but together we can save our country and it will fly again.

Awesome. I live about 10 minutes from the SE Raptor Rehab Center at Auburn University. Many stories similar to this happening all the time. Heroes, all of you.

Appears to be a young eagle. Odds are it was fixated on a prey animal and tried flying through the fork of the tree. Eagle wings aren't built for tight spaces like forests; they're predominantly fish eaters that hunt over water. Wings in forest species are shorter and wider for maneuverability.

If you were rooting for the eagle to be saved, then you understand veganism

No good deed goes unnoticed Good job guys and ladies and vet😊😊😊😊💝

He must've swooped down on his prey not paying attention to the forked trees. I hope the eagle recovers.

That is fucking crazy. Like that is a huge bad ass fucking bird and it is SO helpless when they find it. Like, damn. I think it's entertaining when there are temporarily embarrassed apex predators like that otherwise are these paragons of competency but not like that: like. . . Damn.

He looks sort of small. A recent fledgling that made a severe error in judgement, maybe? is there an update?

Holy shit, buddy!! How on earth did you do *that??*
