    Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign launches nationwide

    The campaign commenced on September 17 across the country. The date coincides with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Minister Patil noted that over 18 crore citizens participated in the prior year's campaign, with 14 crore from rural areas, and stated the goal for this year is to ensure participation from every state, village, panchayat and person.

    GVMC announces month-long cleanliness campaign in Visakhapatnam

    The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation announced the Swachhata Hi Seva–2026 campaign to run for one month, beginning September 18 at G.R. Nagar Colony in the GVMC East Zone. The campaign will include cleanliness drives, sanitation activities, public awareness programmes, waste segregation, and home composting across markets, colonies, tourist areas and water bodies.
