    Thompson sentenced to 30 months in federal prison

    U.S. District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand in Sioux City sentenced Thompson to 30 months in federal prison, above the guideline range of 18–24 months and below the 15-year maximum. Thompson was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release following his release.
