Yes I've heard this argument a lot and I agree with it. The founders simply never imagined such morally bankrupt leadership, who doesn't give a shit about the country at all, and is only focused on enriching themselves and satisfying his on insecurities by slapping his name on everything like a dog pisses on every fire hydrant he passes.
