   Pew details demographic and gender splits in AI job fears

   Pew reports that concern among 18-34-year-olds has risen sharply in countries including Sweden, Poland, Japan, Australia, Brazil and the US, and that in 11 mostly high-income countries women are more likely than men to expect AI-driven job losses.

   Pew surveyed 42,151 adults across 36-37 countries from Feb. 8 to May 13, 2026, finding that in 34 of 37 countries people are more likely to believe AI will lead to job losses than job growth over the next 20 years.
