EU and industry figures hail shift from pilot to large-scale CCS

King Frederik X inaugurates the facility at Port of Esbjerg
Denmark's king formally opened Greensand, which can initially store up to 400,000 tonnes of CO2 a year, sourced mainly from Danish biomethane plants and shipped offshore aboard the carrier Carbon Destroyer 1 for injection roughly 1,800 metres below the seabed.
