First, I hope your kid is okay. Second, you need to get a lawyer, and sue the team, or the school, or the coach, or some combination thereof, so that whoever is responsible for letting that kid play has to pay real and actual money for the decision. It's the only way the lesson sticks.

She apparently apologized after but was still bragging it was on purpose. So they may claim she apologized or that there wasn’t proof of intentional motive. This league has a 1.5 star rating for lots of things. I can see why. Biggest issue is they they are over-the-top competitive in a toxic way.

They are excessively competitive. It’s horrible. Worse the coaches select the same players every year so they have all the strong players. And other “left over” unwanted/weaker players are all put on one team creating an imbalance. I think the competitive nature made this kid do this.

So sorry she went through that. One of my daughters was being scouted by Stanford when an opposing player deliberately took her out causing multiple leg fractures. The coach who had encouraged it and the player were reprimanded and removed but the damage was done.

If it's any sort of concussion, read up on protocols, which your coach should know too. I hope the ref tossed the player. I ref youth and high school lacrosse. The fact that we have to read the players a sportsmanship statement before every contest says all you need.

That game should have been stopped! The “bully” should have been kicked out of not only the game, but off the team. That is assault. I played a number of sports as a kid (63 next week) as did my son. I did notice a huge difference between when I played and when he played - not good. I can’t imagine.
