Not gonna lie fam, I though this is about the head covering but it isn't. The veil is referring to the face cover. I guess that's not bad as it's not actually a required thing in Islam. But who knows, could very well be a slippery slope.

Definitely in my kid’s classroom and it’s not a catholic school and my place of work is festooned with crosses and effigies (and it’s not a church)! I’m surprised parents don’t complain but most seem to want cultural Catholicism for their kids, if not religious. It’s very incongruous to someone who moved from Northern Europe.

In France, we didn’t need a fascist. Jacques Chirac made a law to ban any religious signs in school (but especially the veil) in 2004, and 561 out of 577 representatives voted in favour. That’s how Islamophobic we are in France..
